The start-up ABC Transfer announces the qualification of its first alpha gate.  ABC Transfer aims to revolutionize the market for sealed transfer systems used by the pharmaceutical industry in isolator applications.

The company, which focuses its growth on the development of innovative solutions, has filed 12 patent applications with the INPI. It is actively supported by the BPI, the Region Centre Val de Loire and the Métropole de Tours.

The qualified alpha door, known as internal opening door, with a diameter of 190 mm, is the first step in the creation of a complete range of sealed transfer solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. The qualification follows 5 months of intense trials, reproducing the conditions of use of the product on the drug production lines. More than 2000 hours of testing were required to confirm the suitability of the solutions selected, whether for the transfer of plugs, with a sloped wall, waste disposal, floor position of the insulator or transfer of active ingredients, in the ceiling position. The main seal, which is the heart of the system, has been carefully examined and has undergone numerous product resistance tests on cleaning agents and hydrogen peroxide

Among the many advantages offered by the alpha door of ABC Transfer, improved ergonomics of openings and closures, increased watertightness, in particular thanks to the absence of filter, the beta and alpha interlocked doors and a reduced ring of concern.

The product has already attracted several customers and is installed on a COVID 19 vaccine production line.
